Refund policy

At McMartins, we want you to be completely happy with your purchase. We know things don’t always go to plan, so our returns and warranty policy is designed to be simple and fair.

🛒 Changed your mind? No problem.

Starting from a day after delivery, you have 60 days to notify us to let us know you’d like to return it. There is then a further 15 days to post the item to us.
Just drop us an email at returns@mcmartins.co.uk with your order number and we’ll guide you through the process.

To qualify for a return:

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the order number.

  • If returning a battery it must be unused, uninstalled, and uncharged.

  • It needs to be in its original, unopened packaging.

  • You’ll need your order number or proof of purchase.

  • Note Period: You must notify us within 60 days of receiving your order

Once we’ve approved your return, you’ll have another 15 days to send it back.

Please note:
Because of safety rules, any automotive batteries can’t be sent through normal post. We’ll advise you on using a courier that handles hazardous goods.

Unless your item is faulty or we’ve sent the wrong one, you’ll just need to cover the return postage.

💸 Getting your refund

As soon as your return reaches us and passes inspection, we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method - usually within 5–10 working days.

If the product has been used or damaged, we may need to reduce your refund accordingly.

Refunds for order cancellations also refund to your original payment method usually within the same 5–10 working days.

Processing refunds takes 2-3 working days with our provider, and any further processing times are due to your bank's/provider's processing that causes the delay.

⚙️ Faulty Goods: Received something faulty or not quite right?

We’re really sorry about that.

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Once you’ve let us know that you’d like to return your order (within the 60-day cancellation period), you’ll have another 15 days to send it back to us.

As soon as we receive your return, we’ll process your refund within 15 days. This will cover the full cost of the item(s), including any delivery charges.

Please note that, unless your item was sent in error or is confirmed to be faulty, you’ll need to cover the cost of returning it. If the item is found to be faulty or damaged, we’ll also reimburse your return postage once we’ve confirmed the issue.

🔋 1-Year Warranty

Every product we sell comes with a 1-year warranty for your peace of mind.

If your battery or product stops working properly within 12 months of purchase, we’ll happily replace it or offer store credit - as long as the problem is due to a manufacturing fault, not wear and tear or incorrect use.

Your warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing or material defects.

  • Premature failure under normal use.

It doesn’t cover:

  • Normal wear or loss of capacity over time.

  • Damage caused by incorrect installation, charging, or deep discharge.

  • Physical damage or misuse.

To make a claim:

  1. Email warranty@mcmartins.co.uk with your order details.

  2. We might ask for photos or arrange for testing.

  3. If a manufacturing fault is confirmed, we’ll send you a replacement battery or store credit.
